okay, so i’ve been doing pointe for almost 3 yrs now. And i’m still trying to find the perfect pointe shoe. I need some of your help.

Well, i need to buy new pointe shoes every month. It’s not always the arch of the shoe it’s always the box of the shoe that dies first. I’m using Grishko 2007’s right now. they feel pretty good, but i just think there’s a more better pointe shoe out there that’ll fit way better.

I have a total of 10 hours of pointe per week.

oh! any suggestions of padding?

my feet are:
narrow at the heel
i basically have a Giselle/ Peasants foot.(you can google it)
i have strong feet and ankles.
my arche is not a high-arch..its pretty good. its not bad, nor normal.

Do you have any idea of a pointe shoe that’ll work best for me?

For toe pads, I love ouch pouches! They’re not too thick, or too thin, and I can still feel the floor. They’re great!

As far as shoes, for the feet you have, you may want to try a shoe with a more square, and less tapered box. I know Capezio Glisses are very square, but the shanks on them are pretty soft, so you’d go through them even faster.

You could try Gaynor Mindens- they’re boxes are pretty square in the wider widths, and they last a while if you get the right strength of shank. A grishko fouette or even elite may work for you as well. Even freeds could be a good match. Possibly even a bloch Serenade or Sonata.

You’re definitely going to want to schedule a fitting, and just try on lots of shoes, and see which work best for you.

I have a 4yo daughter & 7month old son.

My daughter rarely plays with any of her toys unless she has friends over. She has a room FULL of toys. A huge dollhouse out back that her Daddy built her, and a swing set. But unless she has anybody to play with she wants nothing to do with any of it. She rather play a game on the computer, or watch some of her favorite Disney movies, or climb on the pool table and pretend it’s a mountain, or cover herself with a blanket and pretend shes hiding, and stuff like that. None of her toys. Which is GREAT cause she has an amazing imagination! But I spend all this money on her toys, (because she wants them, or deserves it) and she plays with them for 5 minutes, and then it goes in the closet never to be seen again.

As for my son, he’s 7 months old and also has a TON of toys. He’s crawling around and into everything EXCEPT for his toys lol. He rather play with the remote controls on the floor, or the little speck of dirt or some other thing he can find on the floor, like shoes, anything. But if you set a toy that lights up and makes noises and talks he looks at it like "come on Mom, are you SERIOUS?" and crawls right past it…

So do your kids play with their toys??

I wouldn’t worry about it. Sometimes toys are very closed. I mean you have a toy and it has a specific function, but with common household objects they can make it anything. Maybe you daughter perfers to play in a group, and perhaps your son is perfectly hitting his targets developmentally by being curous about the objects around him. They sound like great thinkers—-going outside of the box. If you want them to use the stuff you paid for—-try my trick: 1. Ask them not to play with it. 2. Play with it and pretend to be caught playing with it. It works on my 2 1/2 year old everytime. You know how they idolize parents.lol

I really like these, but they are freaking tall and I’m only 4′11"…plus I’d prefer real leather.
Does anyone have any ideas? I like the zipper in the back and the bow in front thing.

there was a music video that was kindof like a dollhouse i saw a year or so ago, it had a blonde girl who looked kinda creepy with really high pointe type shoes .. thats really all i remember. anyone have any ideas on what song this is?

The old navy ones… definitely! I love wedges & they’re a cute color. The other one’s are way too dressy & flashy. Plus they’re super expensive. Zappos has great shoes & free overnight shipping; try them, too.
