    Unfortunately pain is a part of pointe. If that’s what you need to do to stop your feet from hurting then you need to toughen up your toes/instep whichever is hurting. If you want to mess up your ankles, then by all means go ahead. I was just offering advice, I’m not going to force people to take it, but suffice it to say I’ve seen more than one dancer have to cut their career short before it even got off the ground because they did what felt ‘comfortable’ instead of what was correct and safe.

    I wasnt trying to do a wing first of all and thats what i need to do in order for my feet not to hurt when i dance so……ssh

  4. Don’t push your …
    Don’t push your wing so much, that gives the opposite problem as sickling and just about the same amount of support. A winged foot is very elegant and beautiful but when you start putting too much weight on it (rather than having the foot winged in coupe) you can really mess up your ankles in the long run.
